When you join the bigger establish sites there are so many groups and topics and discussions that a newbie gets lost in the noise. I joined an established site, in fact, it was my first trip into social media. Vanilla or Scene. I made mistakes, step on some toes and got ridiculed by older members. They really made me depressed. instead of saying oh you're new let me help you. you get your an idiot, or your so stupid.
